Huawei's Full-Scene Blitz

August 5th, Huawei rolled out a full-stack product launch spanning cars, laptops, tablets, phones, and wearables. But the real headline was the Zhundie V800 — a premium MPV priced above one million yuan, and a direct challenge to Toyota's Alphard and Lexus LM.

Here's the pricing breakdown:

• Zhundie V800 Executive Edition: 866,000 yuan
• Zhundie V800 Premium Edition: 766,000 yuan
• Zhundie V800 Flagship Edition: 1,016,000 yuan
• Zhundie V680 Premium Edition: 648,000 yuan

The V800 Flagship Edition also offers an optional "Cloud, Water, and Azure" interior/exterior theme package, adding custom body lines, enamel badges, ceramic armrests, high-gloss wood trim, and a 150,000 yuan price tag.

Deliveries begin in early September for the Pioneer Edition, with mass delivery by month's end.

Both models share the Tuling Longxing platform and feature a 1.5T range extender paired with dual electric motors (front 160kW, rear 230kW, combined 390kW). All variants come with Huawei's 800V Whale platform, a 65kWh 6C battery pack, and silicon carbide powertrain tech. CLTC pure electric range exceeds 330km, with total range topping 1,200km.

But specs only tell part of the story.

At nearly 5.5 meters long, the V800 faces real-world challenges — maneuverability, parking, braking. That’s why it comes standard with active suspension, wire-controlled steering, and rear-wheel steering (up to ±12 degrees), making it the first MPV globally to combine 800V active suspension with steer-by-wire tech.

Inside, the V800 goes all-in on luxury: a 41.6-inch projection screen, massage seats, a 41-speaker sound system, and flexible seating modes including a “large four-seat” layout that folds the third row and slides second-row seats back for legroom up to 1.4 meters.

One standout detail? A built-in bar cooler behind the front seats, adjustable between 40–95°C for coffee, tea, or milk — complete with spill prevention during driving.

Zhundie isn’t just competing on hardware. It’s betting that smart cabin integration — via HarmonyOS and Huawei’s ADS 5 autonomous driving system — will redefine what buyers expect from a million-yuan MPV.

With the Alphard still relying on mechanical tuning and lacking active suspension or advanced driver assistance, Zhundie sees an opening. Whether it can win over status-driven buyers remains to be seen — but the message is clear: the era of passive luxury in China’s top-tier MPV segment may finally be over.
