Jio-provided Google AI Pro and Claude 5.5 Access in Antigravity
I've been trying to figure out whether my Google AI Pro plan through Jio qualifies as a "non-trial" subscription for accessing Claude 5.5 models in Antigravity. Despite having an active 18-month subscription, I'm encountering some confusing limitations.
Currently, Antigravity recognizes my plan as Google AI Pro under Settings → Models & Usage, and my Claude/GPT quota shows 100%. However, I'm unable to access the latest Claude models. In my model picker, only Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B appear, both marked with a "Notice" that reads: "Opus 5.5 is now available on paid Pro and Ultra plans. Third-party model access will no longer be available on your current plan starting on November 2, 2026."
This creates an interesting situation because the Antigravity documentation states that Claude 5.5 is "available on Google AI Pro for non-trial subscriptions only." The question is whether a Jio-provided Google AI Pro plan is considered a promotional or trial plan in this context.
The notice suggests that my current plan might not be treated as a full-fledged Pro subscription for access to the latest models. The phrase "third-party model access will no longer be available on your current plan" implies that Jio-provided plans might have different terms compared to standard Google AI Pro subscriptions.
Looking at the timeline, November 2, 2026, appears to be a critical date when access restrictions will take effect. This raises concerns about whether I'll lose access to all Claude and GPT models on that date, or if this only applies to third-party model access.
I've checked the Antigravity documentation thoroughly, but it doesn't specifically address Jio-provided subscriptions. The documentation mentions that Claude 5.5 is available on Google AI Pro for non-trial subscriptions, but it doesn't define what constitutes a non-trial subscription or whether promotional plans through carriers like Jio qualify.
This situation leaves me wondering if there's any way for Jio-provided Pro subscribers to get Claude 5.5 access. Would upgrading to a standard Google AI Pro subscription solve this issue? Or is there another path to access these models?
The screenshots I've attached show the notice displayed in the model picker and my plan page details, confirming that while my plan is recognized as Google AI Pro, it doesn't grant access to the latest Claude models. This discrepancy between plan recognition and model availability needs clarification from the Antigravity team.
For now, I'm limited to using Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B, with the looming concern about potential access restrictions starting November 2, 2026. It would be helpful to understand whether this is a temporary limitation or a permanent restriction for Jio-provided subscriptions.

An 18‑month Google AI Pro plan still counts as a trial, so losing Claude 5.5 is inevitable.
