Why is my Google AI Pro account still hitting Antigravity's starter rate limits?
The Starter plan in Google Antigravity is maxed out, but I can't get bumped to the Pro rate limits even though my Google account is fully eligible for Google AI Pro. It's like Google is playing hide and seek with my entitlements. I'm using a personal Gmail account, over 18, and my Google Payments region is Sweden, which is supported by both Antigravity and Google One AI plans according to the FAQ. Yet, the Antigravity interface still spits out "This account is ineligible for higher rate limits through a Google AI plan at this time." even after signing out and back in with the same account. It's confusing because Google One lets me purchase Google AI Pro (5 TB) on the same account without any issues. The FAQ doesn't list Sweden as an unsupported region for Google One AI plans, so there's no region-based explanation for this.
Before I shell out money for Google AI Pro, I need to confirm whether this is a temporary glitch or a permanent roadblock. Will purchasing Google AI Pro actually unlock the higher Pro rate limits in Antigravity, or do I need to resolve this "ineligible" message first? It feels like Google has a disconnect between their different services. Maybe they're not properly syncing entitlements across Google One and Antigravity.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Purchased Google AI Pro on a separate test account and verified that it worked fine with higher Antigravity rate limits.
- Renewed my Google One subscription and even added a new payment method to see if that would trigger the rate limit update.
- Contacted Google Support through the Antigravity help page, but their response was generic and didn’t address the specific issue.
This feels like a classic case of "it works on their machine" but not on mine. I’m hoping someone at Google can clarify whether the "ineligible" message is a red flag or if it’s safe to proceed with the purchase. If it’s the latter, I’ll just bite the bullet and buy it. But if it’s the former, I’ll keep pestering Google until they fix this. I don’t want to end up paying for a service I can’t fully use.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? What did you do to resolve it? I’m tired of jumping through hoops just to get the rate limits bumped up. Here’s a screenshot of the error message for reference:
Update: I found a workaround. If you delete your Google account from the Antigravity app and then re-add it, the entitlements sync properly. It’s a pain, but it works. Just make sure to save your data first. Here’s how to do it:
- Open the Antigravity app.
- Go to Settings > Account.
- Tap on "Remove Account."
- Confirm the removal.
- Restart the app and sign in again with your Google account.
- The higher rate limits should now be available.
It’s not ideal, but it’s better than staring at an "ineligible" message forever. If anyone else is dealing with this same issue, give this a try. It’s worked for me, so hopefully, it’ll help you too.
Note: If you’re still stuck after trying this workaround, consider reaching out to Google’s billing support. They might have a deeper understanding of the entitlement system and can resolve the issue directly. Don’t hesitate to ask for a supervisor if the first person you talk to doesn’t know what they’re doing. Sometimes it takes a higher-up to fix these kinds of glitches.
Final Tip: Always keep a backup of your data before making account changes. You don’t want to lose any progress due to a sync issue. If you’re using Google AI Pro for heavy lifting, losing your data is the last thing you want to happen.

Sweden should be working fine. Just try re-logging since the Starter plan limits are way too low for Pro.

It's frustrating that Google AI Pro entitlements aren't applying after payment. The FAQ confirming Sweden's support doesn't resolve the issue.
