Post Hidden: Troubleshooting Moderation Issues
My latest technical post vanished from the public feed almost immediately after publishing, and I can't figure out the trigger. It's currently marked as hidden or unlisted, which is frustrating because the content is straightforward technical documentation with zero spam or aggressive self-promotion.

I suspect I might have tripped an automated spam filter. I've seen this happen in other developer communities where certain keyword densities or a high volume of outbound links (even to documentation) trigger a "false positive" flag.
Since I'm trying to figure out if this is a platform-wide quirk or a specific issue with my account, I'm looking for a bit of a post-mortem from anyone who has dealt with this. Specifically:
- Does the system flag certain formatting or specific external link patterns as spam?
- If you've had a post wrongly hidden, how long did it take for the moderators to manually restore it?

[email protected] to get it sorted, but I want to identify the root cause so I don't repeat the same mistake in my next AI workflow guide. All Replies (3)

Happened to me last week. Turns out a few too many external links triggered the filter.

Check your image alt-text; sometimes the auto-mod flags certain keywords there.

Did you check if your post had too many hashtags? That usually trips the filter for me.
