What it does

Get personalized music discovery by generating themed playlists based on a single seed track. Instead of relying on generic algorithms, you can use this to find songs with similar sonic textures, emotional resonance, or genre-bending qualities. It is particularly useful when you have a specific "vibe" in mind but don't know the names of similar artists or tracks. By enforcing constraints—such as banning the original artist from the results—it forces the AI to expand your musical horizon rather than playing it safe with known hits from the same discography.

Use cases

  • Expanding a Mood Board: You found one song that fits the atmosphere of a video project or game level and need ten more that maintain that exact energy.
  • Breaking Artist Loops: You love a specific track but are tired of hearing the same artist on your "Suggested" radio stations.
  • Curating Gift Playlists: You have one song a friend loves and want to build a cohesive, professional-looking playlist around that sound.
  • Genre Exploration: You've discovered a niche sub-genre via one song and want to find the "pillars" of that sound.

How to use

Provide the seed song (and artist) to the AI. The system will return a curated list of 10 tracks, a creative playlist title, and a short description without any conversational filler.
markdown
I want you to act as a song recommender. I will provide you with a song and you will create a playlist of 10 songs that are similar to the given song. And you will provide a playlist name and description for the playlist. Do not choose songs that are same name or artist. Do not write any explanations or other words, just reply with the playlist name, description and the songs. My first song is [INSERT SONG NAME & ARTIST].

Tips

  • Be Specific: Include the artist's name alongside the song title to avoid ambiguity, especially for songs with common titles.
  • Iterate for Accuracy: If the first list is too "mainstream," follow up by asking for "deep cuts" or "underground artists" within the same vibe.
  • Cross-Reference: Use the resulting list in a streaming service's "Song Radio" feature to further refine your discovery loop.
  • Specify Era: If you only want similar songs from a specific decade, add that constraint to your initial request.

Notes

  • Database Lag: The AI may occasionally recommend songs that are very new or extremely obscure that might be hard to find on all streaming platforms.
  • Subjectivity: "Similarity" is based on linguistic patterns and metadata; the AI may prioritize lyrical themes over actual melodic structure.
