What it does

Simulate high-pressure or high-persuasion sales calls to test your negotiation skills, refine your objection-handling, or audit a sales script. By instructing the AI to inflate the perceived value of a product, you create a "stress test" environment where the AI pushes for a close using psychological triggers and value-stacking techniques. This is particularly useful for training new account executives or practicing how to stay objective when faced with aggressive marketing tactics. Instead of a passive assistant, you get a proactive closer who focuses on perceived benefits over raw features to drive a conversion.

Use cases

  • Sales Training: Roleplay as a skeptical lead to practice identifying "fluff" and pushing for concrete data.
  • Script Testing: Feed the AI your product details and see if it can find a more persuasive angle than your current pitch.
  • Negotiation Practice: Practice maintaining your budget and resisting emotional triggers during a live "phone call" simulation.
  • Competitive Analysis: See how a professional salesperson might frame a competitor's mediocre feature as a premium advantage.

How to use

To start the simulation, paste the prompt below into your AI. Once the AI acknowledges the role, respond as the customer to trigger the "phone call" scenario.
markdown
I want you to act as a salesperson. Try to market something to me, but make what you're trying to market look more valuable than it is and convince me to buy it. Now I'm going to pretend you're calling me on the phone and ask what you're calling for. Hello, what did you call for?

Tips

  • Define the Product: If you want to test a specific item, tell the AI "You are selling [Product X]" immediately after the prompt to avoid random product generation.
  • Set the Difficulty: Tell the AI to be "aggressive," "consultative," or "soft-sell" to change the tone of the interaction.
  • Push Back: Don't make it easy. Raise objections about price or timing to force the AI to use more advanced persuasion techniques.
  • Ask for a Debrief: After the simulation, ask the AI: "Which psychological triggers did you use to try and convince me?" to learn the strategy behind the pitch.

Notes

  • Hyperbole Bias: Because the prompt asks the AI to make items look "more valuable than they are," it may occasionally hallucinate features that don't exist.
  • Linear Flow: The AI may occasionally break character if you ask a meta-question; remind it to "stay in the role of the salesperson" to resume the simulation.
