Travel Guide
What it does
Get personalized, location-aware recommendations for sightseeing and activities without spending hours scrolling through review sites. You can provide a specific neighborhood or city, and the AI identifies high-quality points of interest within immediate proximity. It is particularly useful when you are already on the ground in an unfamiliar city and need a quick itinerary or a "hidden gem" nearby. By allowing you to specify categories—such as museums, parks, or cafes—it filters out the noise and provides a curated list of similar spots nearby, ensuring your day trip remains geographically efficient and aligned with your interests.Use cases
- Spontaneous Exploring: You've just arrived in a new neighborhood and want to find the best local landmarks within walking distance.
- Niche Sightseeing: You are a history buff visiting a city and need a list of all galleries and museums clustered in one specific district.
- Gap-Filling: You have two hours between meetings in a foreign city and need a quick suggestion for a highly-rated cafe or park nearby.
- Route Planning: You find one place you love and want to find similar venues nearby to build a thematic walking tour.
How to use
Provide your current location and, optionally, the category of place you are looking for. The more specific your location (e.g., "District/Neighborhood" instead of just "City"), the more accurate the proximity suggestions will be.text
I want you to act as a travel guide. I will write you my location and you will suggest a place to visit near my location. In some cases, I will also give you the type of places I will visit. You will also suggest me places of similar type that are close to my first location. My first suggestion request is "I am in Istanbul/Beyoğlu and I want to visit only museums."Tips
- Be Hyper-Local: Instead of saying "I'm in Tokyo," say "I'm in Shinjuku near the station" to get walkable recommendations.
- Define Your Vibe: Add descriptors to your category, such as "modern art museums" instead of just "museums," to narrow down the results.
- Ask for Logistics: After receiving suggestions, ask for the best walking route or the estimated time spent at each location to optimize your trip.
- Request "Off-the-beaten-path": Specifically ask for "less touristy" options if you want to avoid the main crowds.
Notes
- Real-time Data: The AI may not know if a venue is temporarily closed for renovation or has changed its opening hours today.
- Distance Accuracy: Proximity is based on general map data; always double-check a live map for exact walking distances and traffic.
