GPT-6 might be dropping sooner than we think!
Personally, I think this signals a massive shift in the competitive landscape. With Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Pro pushing the boundaries of reasoning and context windows, OpenAI can't afford to sit still. If GPT-6 is indeed "landing" this month, I’m expecting it to focus less on just being a better chatbot and more on true agentic behavior—meaning the model won't just talk, but actually execute complex workflows autonomously.
However, there's a catch. A sudden release often means the "vibe" might be slightly unpolished, or we might see more restrictive guardrails to prevent PR disasters. My big question is: will it actually show a massive leap in reasoning, or is it just an incremental upgrade to keep the hype train moving?
What do you guys think? Is OpenAI moving too fast, or is this the leap toward AGI we've been waiting for? Let me know your thoughts below!
